I have two Devon's who looked like they had swallowed a football. I feed Blackhawks biscuits, about 1/4 cup each per day, and recently changed to a raw diet.Chicken, turkey, lamb and beef heart, tinned sardines in spring water, steak. Devon Rex…

I read somewhere that to get a kitten used to its name is to stroke it and say their name as they are eating. Let her come to you rather than chasing her around; you might be making her more frightened. My Mort loves to sit up on my breast/shoulder…

Mort is Morty, chubby, chubs, MC, Mortacat. Ysabell is is-a-bubble, Isbiz. Both respond to "dinner" without food being evident. Both know "get down" as in get down off the table! Ysabell chirps and hums when she sees my son…

My Devon's camp in the warmest room furtherest away from the aircon and sit in the sun first thing in the morning. They become lap cats on winter nights and sleep under the covers with me at night. They have been known to stay in bed for up to…

Sure! Come and meet my two Devon's. Such fun and they do eat well, but they give back one hundred fold with affection and antics. They finished off dinner tonight with a raw peeled prawn and ate it tail and all. Mort tried to stare Ysabell out…

I think I have finally had success changing over to a raw diet! Today I had the butcher grind up QUAIL, hugely expensive, but I wanted the bones in the meat. Cats need calcium and I wanted it to be from bone not dairy or an artificial powder. The…

Hi, I laughed reading how your girl reacts to food she doesn't like! My boy makes covering up motions ie " This is sh*t" around the bowl. The message is certainly clear! Jo-Ann

I am in the process of changing my 2 Devon's to a raw diet and it is proving a bit of a challenge. They LOVE plain raw beef, lamb, chicken but the problem is they are not keen to convert to the "whole animal ground up" commercial…

Hi Jo-Ann, I see you've tried raw pork. I have no idea wether that's a risk in Australia, but it might be a good idea to look into that. Over here in Europe there is a pig's disease called Auzjesky's, which isn't a danger to…

Once you have been owned by a Devon Rex, there's no going back! She looks like she enjoys a tummy rub.

Thank you, Leia, tonight I offered tinned chicken with their usual omega 3,6,9 oil, which they ate half of. Then I finely sliced raw pork schnitzel which they finished quickly and then looked at me for more. I live in Australia and feed them RoyaL…

Thank you Marjan. I ready the article and am now even more determined to change them to a raw diet. They probably won't mind as they love anything we will eat. A vet told me that Devon's are the Labrador of the cat world- they don't…

Thank Nathalie, I have them on a hypo allergenic high quality cat biscuit and a very small (they share an 85g can) feed of mostly fish nightly. They will eat anything so I will try the raw diet. As we are out all day I like to leave them the…

Hi Jo-Ann, your Devons sound lovely. We have had a few topics on here about skin issues so hopefully these will be of some help to you too. It seems to occur more in sheer coated Devon's. How nice that you were given one of our Calendars.
