Please meet Harley, our first Sponsorship cat.

Harley was lucky enough to be taken in by Ingrid's Haven, a non-profit cat shelter in Victoria,(AUS) an hour'...

If you are interested in adopting her, call Ingrid on 0417 360 700, or email ingridarving@hotmail.com
Ingrid's Haven is a no-kill shelter.

The Haven is open on Saturdays from 11am-4pm, or by appointment.

You can see Harley on Ingrid's website in this link - scroll down, ...

Harley would also love visits by Devon Zone members! If you do visit her please be sure to take some photos to share with us.

A bit about her...

Harley is a couple of years old. She was abandoned outside student accomodation to fend for herself till a man noticed her plight and took pity on her. Kind people fed her till she could get off the streets and there's nothing wrong with her apetite but god help the cat that tries to sniff her food, she defends it with her paws and a hiss. Harley should be a single cat to start with, maybe add a kitten later on. She talks, she asks with a meow if there's time for a pat and normally there is.

shes sweet - shall help sponsor her asap

She is beautiful Nicole.  I do hope she finds a forever home soon, but in the meantime we can help care for her.

This is a great idea from Devon zone. This poor little girl, so sad people do this. There are so many cats in need of help. May she find a kind loving home soon.

Thanks Babs, Joy and Karolyn.

A new photo of Harley

Oh she is pretty.  Such lovely colours _ a very pale tortie with a little white maybe???  I'm not very good with colours.

Sorry guys but I have no idea..can someone tell me how much does it cost for Devon Zone to sponsor a cat like Harley? Id like to help. Is Igrids a non-kill shelter?

Hi Elisabeth,

I make a monthly donation on behalf of Devon Zone to Sponsor Harley.

All donations help towards this.. $5... $10... and everything purchased from our Cafe Press store earns us a couple of dollars.

Yes, Ingrids is definitely a no kill shelter. She does great work.

Harley is STILL waiting for her new home if anyone in Victoria, Australia is interested in a new feline family member.

Wonderful news .... Harley has found her home!!

I was so pleased to receive a message from Ingrid's Haven today and will paste it below:

Good news, Harley has found a home and she is loving it and is loved  more than her owner who never had a cat before imagined she could love a cat.

Harley went to a one cat household and her true personality has come out, she hated it here with all the other cats but all her dreams have come true.

I have appointed Mac for you to look after. Mac came from a home with family violence so his mum is in a safety house for women and I got Mac & Sollie. Mac is a very friendly cat that talks a lot, he is jet black and five years old. He is well deserving of your well wishing thoughts and he hopes that one day his sponsors can come and see him if he is still here, that is.

Thank you so very much for your continued support, it means the difference btw life and death for my cats as the more help I get, the more cats I can save.

Thank you,
Ingrid & the Cats

More details for our newest Sponsor cat, Mac, to follow soon. ( Thank you so much to Joy for your continued financial support in Sponsoring Harley, I bet you are as pleased as I am!

thats fab news !

I am so delighted for dear Harley & wish her & her new owner every happiness.  Ingrid is a very special lady & I look forward to helping with the sponsorship of our new boy Mac.
