This is one thing I keep warning my OH about. Our local newspaper is delivered with an elastic band around it. If I go & get the paper from the driveway I make sure it goes in the bin, but there are times I've seen them lying around on the table or bench (which of course is off limites-NOT) to our brood.

She is also very good at fetch but she stores all her bits and peices she plays fetch with. She is a particularly busy, intelligent girl and it seems this little kitten needs a playmate (devon) or she could get into trouble too. They do seem to have peculiar tastes for things more so than other breeds I feel. We have had a few mobile phone charges chewed through and head phone cords

have heard oof puppies eating paper money but never a kitten hoarding coins - ps devons also do sometimes try to eat the strangest foods they see us humans eating - cherub tried an avocado and salad as a kitten and complete with vinegrette dressing which she dutifully drank with no ill effects afterwards - we do stop her when we have a chinese take away though ever since she sneaked off with some duck in plum sauce which did results in a drastic loo dash later....and from a catshow in a carrier in the car!

She demands a small bowl and is of course dished up a small bowl of these when the family has it for dinner. She is a very spoilt and chrished little devon girl . Actually, I think I remember reading that avocado was quite poisonous to animals but that wouldn't stop a devon LOL

Hi, this is a problem with me too. My Devon Wispa raids the bin in my studio for the plastic tear-off strips that come from cellophane self seal bags. I'm an artist and I use lots of these for sending my prints in. She tips the bin over, and rummages til she finds one, then starts chewing. She knows it is wrong as she will run off if she thinks I know what she's doing. I can usually chase after her and pull the chewed up mess out of her mouth - but once, it had gone right through, and she was running around with a poo dangling on the end of a 3" length of plastic! Funnily enough, she is very picky about actual food - the only 'human' food she will eat is the yoghurt coating you get on 'health' bars! She is 14 years old - no inquisitive kitten!
